ITS, a provider of information technology and engineering solutions to the U.S. government, today announced Brad Mitchell as its new director of finance. Mitchell will be responsible for the management and oversight of all reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and Costpoint data as well as all of ITS' fiscal functions. He will also advise the company in all financial matters related to new contracts and mergers and acquisitions. Mitchell will report to Peter Cambier, ITS' executive vice president and CFO. "Brad's leadership ability is enhanced by in-depth expertise in finance and accounting," said Cambier. "He will go a long way to ensure our systems and processes are robust and effectively managed across our enterprise." Mitchell, ITS' former manager of finance, has been with the company for over four years. He grew from his initial position as a contract manager into finance and accounting. Prior to ITS, Mitchell worked for more than 10 years in many aspects of the defense industry, from business development to contract management, and eventually into finance. Three of those years were spent at ALT Services, where he served as a software engineer and program manager working with the Navy and Marine Corps to develop enterprise solutions. Mitchell received his undergraduate degree in physics from University of California at San Diego. He is currently working on his MBA from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, Ca., and is scheduled to complete his degree this fall.
