ITS Arlington-based LEADS Business Unit won a re-competed contract for Business Operations Support Services (BOSS) to perform claims services for the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund, which is overseen by the U.S. Coast Guard's National Pollution Funds Center (NPFC). The BOSS contract is for managerial support, project management, claims analysis expertise, and business process improvement. Claims analysis support includes claims investigation and cost documentation, claim adjudication, accounting and auditing, and engineering specialties and other technical and scientific areas that may be required by the NPFC. The five-year IDIQ contract is estimated at $2 million. "This effort reflects a true partnership with the NPFC and ITS LEADS," said Joe Tagliareni, senior vice president for ITS LEADS. "We look forward to assisting NPFC management and claims managers with highly specialized environmental, scientific and financial support." ITS' LEADS Business Unit provides management consulting and professional services to the government and military, and specializes in acquisition and technology solutions. Currently, ITS LEADS supplies the Coast Guard with information technology support services, which includes maintenance of the NPFC network and implementation and maintenance of information systems security.
