OXNARD, CA - ITS Corporation, a provider of information technology and engineering solutions to the U.S. government, announced today that it has won an IT infrastructure support contract with Reynolds Army Community Hospital located on Ft. Sill in Oklahoma. The contract is worth almost $1.25 million dollars and includes one base period and four option years.
Specifically, ITS will provide information center and help desk support, and will be responsible for approximately 1,200 PCs and associated equipment. ITS will also oversee the hospital's Digital Information Network Picture Archiving System (DINPACS), which involves imagery and workflow for computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine and mammography. Personnel training for those involved with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act data and Application Usage is also part of ITS' contract with Reynolds.
According to ITS Vice President Doug Christianson, the contract win at Reynolds Army Community Hospital is a result of ITS' DOD hospital initiative.
"ITS has determined that the infrastructure support requirement in DOD and VA hospitals are a good match for ITS' skills, experience and capabilities," says Christianson. "Additionally, ITS' Fort Sill team will bring a new aspect to our hospital infrastructure support, especially when it comes to the area of medical imaging via DINPACS."
Christianson also says the DOD medical community is constantly facing challenges when it comes to delivering the highest quality of service to the men and women of our armed services.
"Based on our level of management authority, customer responsiveness, agility and extensive knowledge of the space, we believe that ITS can be a positive factor in helping DOD meet those challenges," he added.
ITS currently provides hospital IT infrastructure support to four Army and Navy hospitals throughout the U.S.
