ITS Corporation Wins ONR Contract to Support Coordination of Defense Science Programs

1/25/2007 - Department of Defense continues to tap ITS for Reliance work

ARLINGTON, VA. - ITS Corporation, a provider of information technology and engineering solutions to the U.S. government, has been selected to provide administrative and analytical support to the Office of Naval Research (ONR). The multiple-award contract, which is awarded under ONR’s MATOC 2 contract, is worth more than $3 million to ITS if all five years are optioned.

With this contract, according to Tom Sundling, president and CEO of ITS Corporation, the company will continue its long-standing support of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Reliance process, which reduces redundancy and enhances synergies among its many science and technology programs. Sundling says, “ONR has turned to ITS once again to help them improve responsiveness to their warfighting and acquisition customers. We’ve proudly supported DoD in planning and executing its science and technology programs for more than 16 years and we look forward to continuing that support.”

Established in 1991, Reliance provides the framework and assessment process to enable the DoD Science and Technology (S&T) community to work together to enhance the department’s S&T program and to strengthen cooperation among the services and agencies. The Army, Navy, and Air Force research programs, as well as Defense agencies, including DARPA, currently participate in the Reliance process.
